If you have free time in Batam and wondering what to do in Batam, other than shopping I would suggest to try their Seafood. There are so many great seafood resto, but in this post I only share two seafood restaurants that I tried on my last visit to Batam.
We arrived about lunch time and went directly to a resto called Tiam Huat. From what stated on their sign, the food is halal. Tiam Huat was very crowded, lucky that we got seat for 20 of us:)
All of us ordered their special menu which is Ikan Asam Pedas and it was perfect for a hot day! It's sour and spicy, with fresh tomato and soup. By the way the color of the plate made this fish looks gorgeous:p The soup tasted like tom yum, hmm yummy!
After a half day meeting, we ended our day by having dinner at Golden Prawn Resto 555. It's a huge resto where you could choose your own fresh seafood.
Of course we ordered their famous Gonggong, but I don't like it. I have tried it before, but it's just not my fave Batam seafood.
The best food that night was their Kepiting Saus Padang, spicy!
Other than Gonggong and Kepiting, we also ordered these food:p It was too much really, but we enjoyed all the food:)
Hope to visit Batam again someday to try their other delicious seafood :)
