I was confuse to put a title of this post, I would love to write about "Things To Do in Pontianak", but aside from visiting the Equator monument, what I did was basically trying the food in Pontianak:p
It was my second visit to Pontianak, and still finding halal food was my major problem. While my friends were having their Mie Kepiting (crab noodle) Pontianak for the breakfast, I ate Nasi Uduk:)

Pontianak is famous for its Kepiting Asap (roasted crab), we had lunch at Pondok Kakap restaurant to try the famous Kepiting Asap and other seafood menu. What a big lunch I had that day!

When it came to dinner time, we tried Mie Tiau Sapi Antasari 72 (beef rice noodle). They provide the fried and mie tiauw siram (a soup noodle). Their orange plates with signs and pictures of Indonesian celebrities who had visited this place are hanging on the wall.

If you are looking for food to be taken away from Pontianak, their Talas snack is one of the most favorite one, especially the spicy one. We stopped at a shop called Along, where you could find traditional food from Pontianak to be taken away to your hometown.

We ended up our food adventure in Pontianak, and continued our journey to Kuching. By the way, I choose the Kepiting Asap as my fave of our food adventure in Pontianak.
