We were confused of getting the right place to stay in Langkawi (oh yes because of the price!), we then read in a magazine that Fave Hotel has opened their branch in Langkawi. Having stayed in some of Fave Hotels in Indonesia, we booked their superior room for the four of us. We booked through their website and got a 10% discount with their bookdirect promo code. Our room cost IDR 700,000 per night, including breakfast.
Actually we booked this hotel because of the picture of the pool on their website, too bad the pool's depth was disappointing. The maximum depth is 1,5m and only few area having this depth. Most of the pool is 0,5m to 1m only. But of course, kiddos love the pool and they said "I could reach the bottom of the pool":p

The room was spacious (especially compared to the standard room), it has a comfortable twin beds, large bathromm and the important thing was: it has kids channel on the television.

When the night comes, the lights of an artificial tree in front of the hotel was my fave: purple tree! We had a rented car and as the hotel has large parking space, we never had problem to park our car.

Although not located on the beach, it's just 5 minutes away by car to the beach and to the center of Langkawi. At the center of Langkawi we could find a shopping mall, souvenir shops, McD, and also the Underwater World. Having read the so so review of the Underwater World in tripadvisor, we didn't visit it, and save our budget for other activities.

We went twice to a resto called Nasi Kandar Tomato just few meters away from Cenang Mall. Beside the cheap food price, they have very yummy ice teh tarik and roti canai.

This hotel is not for you if you are looking a waterfront beach hotel, but if you are looking for a new, clean, modern, and affordable hotel in Langkawi, I would recommend Fave Hotel Langkawi.
