I stayed at Peninsula Excelsior Hotel Singapore when I had a conference at Suntec Convention Center in April 2012. Having read many negative review on Tripadvisor, I didn't expect that much from this hotel. But to my surprise, it was a nice stay at Peninsula Excelsior. The check in process was fast, I got room no 725 located on Excelsior tower. This hotel has two towers which are Excelsior Tower and Peninsula Tower. On the second day I discovered that the Excelsior Tower is a newer and more modern one compared to the Peninsula Tower.

I got a nice and huge room, however the bathroom was tiny, especially compared to the room size.
This is the view from my room.. My room is located just opposite the Grand Park City Hotel, that’s why I can get free internet wifi from the hotel opposite my room. The Peninsula Excelsior doesn’t provide free wifi for the guest.
The hotel is only 2 minutes away to City Hall MRT. It is located just next to Funan the IT Mall, and Peninsula also has a shopping complex, but it was an old shopping complex. It was also close to Old Chang Kee which opens ay 7 am. A good news for those who don't want to take breakfast at the hotel. I tried once their breakfast, it was really crowded and the food was also basic. The next morning I decided to get breakfast at Little India:p
