Where to Stay in Weh Island : Santai Sumur Tiga

http://tourismalternative.blogspot.com/2013/07/where-to-stay-in-weh-island-santai.html

We were recommended by our friend @tantri_teonk to choose Santai Sumur Tiga as our 3 nights accommodation on our first visit to Weh Island. So we booked a bungalow by email directly to Freddie, the owner of the resort. We didn't search any other accommodation, and glad we decided to stay here. This resort is perfect for a budget traveler looking for a private beach with beautiful sunrise, comfortable rooms and delicious food.

Comfortable Rooms at Santai Sumur Tiga

We got a bungalow cost IDR 300,000 (incl tax), which located on a hilly area with a direct view to Sumur Tiga beach. There's no aircon at the bungalow, well we didn't need it anyway. We could sleep with our door opened, and enjoy the wind blowing from outside.

In the morning, we could see sunrise at our doorstep. It was really beautiful, and we enjoyed it every single day while we were there.

Prior to our arrival, we booked a buffet dinner on the first night, because we didn't rent motorcycle for our first night. The buffet dinner cost IDR 65,000 per person and really worth it.

Freddie and his staff came to our tables and explained what were going to be served that night.  Thereafter, the appetizer came one by one, followed by an "all you can eat" buffet dinner. I would say that Freddie's buffet dinner is really recommended.

We had two times breakfast while we were at Santai Sumur Tiga, we didn't take the breakfast on our last day because we had to catch an early ferry from Weh Island to Banda Aceh. The breakfast were served at Freddies warm and lovely kitchen. Nice breakfast and beautiful sunrise was what we got every single morning. Life is so good:)

Another thing you should try at Santai Sumur Tiga is their pizza. We tried once for our lunch and had it at the restaurant by the beach. Look at that blue water! It's amazingly beautiful.

I would love to go back to Santai Sumur Tiga. I will never forget how peaceful it was to sit down with the sunrise and my netbook, waiting rene exploring the area with his camera.

definitely a sunset to remember

We met one group who told us they changed their accomodation every night; one night at Iboih Inn, and another night at Santai Sumur Tiga. We choosed to make Santai Sumur Tiga as our base, because the location is close to the city of Sabang. We traveled by our rented Honda motorcycle to explore the island, and everytime we came back to Santai Sumur Tiga, we felt that it was our home at Weh Island.

Someday we would love to go back and take our kiddos to enjoy this very kids friendly resort. Weh Island is another must visit destination with kids in Indonesia.
