I always love market anywhere in the world! I am excited to see how the local shop, and also to see all the unique stuffs I can found there. So visiting weekend market, night market, etc will always be in my itinerary. When I knew there's a weekend market in the Phuket Old Town, and that I will still be in Phuket during the weekend, it's for sure included in my itinerary.

We rented a van to go to the weekend phuket market from Daj (kanidash@hotmail.com). We visited the market after we went to the Promthep Cape to see the sunset. It's about 40 minutes drive from the Prompthep Cape to the Phuket Old Town. When we got there, it was really crowded that our driver couldn't find a parking place for his van. We promised to meet at the meeting point (well, it's a toilet at the end of the parking place:p) after we called him.

Abdul Karim our driver, dropped us at the food section of the Phuket Weekend Market. Good news was, we could easily found halal food at the market:) So enjoy the pictures of all the food we found there...

We continued exploring the market by visiting clothes and also a souvenir shop. I bought two blouse for my mom, each cost only THB 200. Very cheap:) Souvenirs are also cheap here. But I didn't buy any shirt as we were recommended to but t-shirt only at Madunan T-shirt factory. And we'll be visiting Madunan on our last day in Phuket.

We also saw a bar from a Volskwagen, a really unique bar:p

Though this market was a very touristy place, I still think that it's a nice place to visit as we can find many local food at the market.
